Microsoft's smartphone platform -- primarily Windows Phone -- is still declining in market share, according to new numbers released by comScore.
For the three months ended in January, Microsoft's smartphone platforms held 4.4 percent of U.S. subscribers. That's down from 4.7 percent for the three months ended in December 2011, and down from 5.4 percent for the three months ended in October.
This, despite the rollout in the fall of Windows Phone 7.5 -- a major update of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, and the launch since then of several new handset models.
